But the ultimate goal was always true location independence. In September 2024, I transitioned into a fully remote role as a WordPress Developer for UMM Digital. Operating remotely at an agency level requires a totally different discipline. You must master asynchronous communication, strict Git version control, and possess the ability to deliver high-performance Elementor grids and custom theme solutions without the safety net of an in-person tech lead tapping on your shoulder.

Most importantly, true mobility means the freedom to travel. Operating remotely affords me the ability to coordinate group itineraries with my family and friends, frequently escaping to the mountains of Manali.
